When the ground begins to shake and the terrible roar of a diesel engine echoes through the tunnels, it is critical to know exactly what kind of machinery you are dealing with.
Boggis, Bunce, and Bean are particularly fond of the terrible tractors. Remember: tractors are slow, but their shovels are deep. If you hear the clanking of treads rather than tires, you must dig down, not out.
The Three Types of Diggers
- The Crawler Excavator: Heavy treads, slow movement. Highly dangerous.
- The Backhoe Loader: Moves on wheels. Faster, but less stable.
